Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 3(i) Enakmen Rizab Melayu, Menteri Besar Pahang mengisytiharkan tanah seluas 0.296 hektar (0.731 ekar), Mukim Kuala Kuantan, Daerah Kuantan yang ditandakan di atas Pelan Ukur No. P.W. 3397 yang disimpan di Pejabat Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan Pahang menjadi Kawasan Simpanan Melayu yang dikenali sebagai Kawasan Simpanan Melayu Songsang (Tambahan).
